Oliver and I have a list of things we would like to do before we “kick the bucket”, so one of them was ziplining through a rainforest. When we got to the resort, we quickly decided to book a trip and the rest of the group decided to join us. We rented a bus with our driver Sanchez who took us through lovely little towns as we made our way up the mountains. Of course being in the rainforest….it rained a lot! Luckily we had packed our raincoats (learned something from Thailand!) while the others used garbage bags to deflect the storm.
For the first line Oliver led the group so that he could take pictures, then each child went with a guide, I braked too soon and had to pull my way in…but I didn’t care…it was lots of fun! The second line the kids felt brave to go on their own and off they went zipping to the next canopy. The third line allowed us to hang in front of this beautiful waterfall…I just kept staring and thinking….my family all together zipping by a waterfall…….doesn’t get much better than this!
Despite our soggy clothes…it really was a great experience and now we can cross it off our list!
